Had a wonderful walk in a light misting rain for the first hour on the Camino to Trinidad de Erre in the town of Villava. Walked along a river for several miles, stopped along the way at an Abbey that was being restored by a group of peregrinos. The abbey was built in the 12th century. Walked at a very slow pace to smell the flowers along the way, no rush to get anywhere. Just enjoy the walk and what the Camino has to offer. Here are some photos.

Beautiful country glad you are getting to enjoy it and share it

Morning Mark – incredible country and the walk facilities seem to be very civilized, perfect for everyone’s needs. Love the pictures, especially the mare and her little one, she looks fat and healthy!! You are looking pretty good too, not that you are a fat mare of course!! Thinking of you each evening in my prayers. Hope your walk is proving to give you the peace and solace you search for – the whole point…right? Love.

Oh, my gosh… that picture of the path through the woods… my favorite! It seems so idyllic… especially with the first day of hill climbing fading into the past. I can well imagine drawing peaceful serenity from the soles of your feet right up through your entire being. Quite enticing.
